Only 1 word can describe these: AMAZING.

They are incredibly creamy and moist and have a very interesting flavor components. The cinnamon in the crust adds a whole new dimension to this dessert!

I didn't find actual dulce de leche in my grocery store so I used caramel ice cream topping instead. But they still tasted great.

Cutting these were a bit difficult and got really messy. Just remember to keep your knife hot and cut slowly and you'll get good squares.

This is definitely a recipe you need to try!

Chocolate-Peanut Brittle Cupcakes

Hey guys!
Welcome to cutie pie bakes :)

Lets get started right away.
After a terribly long day at work, and not so wonderful results from my experiemnts, I decided it was time to let lose and bake some rich chocolaty cupcakes :)

I had found this recipe a little while ago on food network and decided i had to try them.
ASAP.

I ran out of dark brown sugar (this recipie requires a lot...buy 2 boxes!).
and used a little bit of light brown sugar instead.

you need to use very nice cocoa powder (it will taste like a box mix if you dont!)

also i made 31 cupcakes out of the batter not 24

(ps. if you dont have buttermilk...just mix about 3 teaspoons of yogurt (heaping teaspoons) with 1 1/4 cups water and there you go... jsut the right amount of buttermilk!)

Over all, these cupcakes were mediocre. Right out of the oven, they were moist and fluffy and delicious! But after letting them cool, they became extremely dense and not as fun to eat. Although they were tasty, they were not the best.
